Thinking about trying this system. I have been trying sooooooo hard not to wash my hair everyday. I feel super dirty if I don’t. I know shampooing is bad to do everyday. It dries your hair out. I thought about trying the Wen system. Can I use it everyday? I feel I am not clean unless I can use something everyday.

The next thing I am going to try is the Aveeno hair care line. I have heard many good things about it.

Also….which should I buy…the Fig, Cucumber, or the Sweet Almond Mint. I have fine hair but a lot of it. Its generally frizzy but mainly healthy. Its blonde highlighted.

Which formula you buy depends on your hair. Tea tree, if I remember correctly, is for oily scalps/dry hair (you’ll have to read the website). Fig is very moisturizing and is for dry hair. I bought the 3-piece moisturizing kit from QVC.com, which consisted of Fig, Lavender, and Tea Tree. I don’t like the Lavender much. THey all have different effects on my hair. Fig gives it moisture and the other two define my million and one curls. Tea Tree also leaves my hair with a bit of moisture. Lavender doesn’t give my dry hair what it needs. Almond Mint is for all hair types, and I tried that, but it wasn’t moisturizing enough. They have 6oz. trial sizes you can buy to try it out.

The Wen cleansing conditioner you can use every day if you wanted. Believe me, unless you’re dripping with money then you probably won’t be compelled to use it every day, lol. It takes a lot of the product to get your hair clean, unless you have short hair like me. But, even if you wanted to use it every day you’ll actually find that your hair seems to feel clean for a longer period of time. I wash shampooing every other day, but I’ve noticed I’m washing my hair less when I use Wen because my hair seems to stay clean.

You can always buy it and send it back if you don’t want it. I bought the sample set at http://www.wenhaircare.com and you can send it back within 30 days for a full money back guarantee, minus shipping/handling. Wen’s money back is that they’ll take the product back even if the bottles are empty. I used about 95% of the cleansing conditioner and 2/3 of the re-moist before I sent it back for my money back. WHen you’re sending it back they’ll try to get you to buy the Cucumber sample set if almond mint isn’t for your hair type. Instead, I went to QVC and bought the 3-piece moisturizing set. QVC.com also has a 30 day money back guarantee. I’m still using my Wen months later.

Also, Wen will drastically reduce your frizz. I haven’t had to deal with frizz since I started using it. If I use it consistently then I’ve noticed that my hair begins to retain more moisture. My hair is generally healthy, too. A generic alternative to Wen is Hair One, which is sold at Sally’s Beauty Supply. Some people who have used both have said Wen is far superior. I’ve never used Hair One.
